This Summer has seen record temerature highs, that and some back pain have kept me indoors more than usual. For the first year in many I am not attending the KC Irish Festival as we prepare for a trip to the Emerald Isle herself. We have attended KC's Trad Irish Sessions around town throughout the Summer both at:
Prospero's (3rd Sunday 6-8) and
Brady & Fox (1st, 3rd, and 5th Sat 3-6).
KC Irish Sessions are always an opportunity for good music, and good company.
I am cleaning off memory cards to have enough space for all that we hope to see during our coming trip. I thought I would take out just a few minutes from the great camera cleaning which precedes any travel or big photo event to post just a few glimpses from the year. I have stepped away from the controlled close up shots of which I am so fond for a few months just to experiment with multiple exposure, alternative creative lens options, and even pulled out the Holga plastic camera for a few photo play dates with a friend.
